Ge 39: 10 She pestered him day after day after day, but he stood his ground. He refused to go to bed with her.

How many young boy or girl will today resist to such an offer? In such a modern society where so much emphasis on sex, pleasure at all cost, without restriction, at any age is placed? Where the importance of purity. faithfulness, patience and marriage are becoming obsolete progressively? 

Potiphar would not have known it after all. However, Joseph valued his loyalty to Potiphar and GOD more than just having pleasure for a time. And in spite of all the daily calls he still holds his ground stronger.

 Joseph was a young man, but he walked with principles and no matter what his feeling or impulse were in various days, he knew a principle does not change to suit the feeling, the feeling submit to the principle. He had resolved not to defile himself. The issue was not whether Potiphar was absent or present, or whether his wife was ‘sexy or not’: He had a commitment towards himself and His GOD.

Nowadays, young people just follow the course of the world, and leave everything about their lifes to be define by others. Still, our commitment towards GOD must always speak louder, a commitment that no matter the daily pressure put upon us, we will not surrender to the sexual impulse. As the end of the story illustrates, GOD always has the best end, for those who abide by His principles.Keep Yourself Pure
